Christmas Window Competition - Winner

For the sixth successive year, a number of entrants have taken part in the Best-Dressed Window Competition, which has recently been judged by members of the Chigwell Parish Environment Committee. This year’s winners are Brook House Pharmacy, a pharmacy that provides a wide range of beauty treatments, as well as traditional pharmacy products. Chigwell Parish Council Chairman, Alan Lion, who presented the trophy and winner’s certificate said “I appreciate the efforts the entrants have made to make their shop windows really eye catching and attractive at this time of the year, they make a great contribution to the festive atmosphere within the Parish. Playground re-furbishment

The Chigwell Station Road children's playground area has recently seen a major improvement of the surface areas around a number of the pieces of equipment. Over time, the old matting areas had subsided and during wet weather, conditions could become quite muddy in places. The recently installed all-weather surfaces should ensure that both parents and children alike will able to take full advantage of the facilities at all times of the year. Read More...

Best-Dressed Window Competition - Winner

2016 saw the Best-dressed Christmas Window Competition run by Chigwell Parish Council enter its fifth successive year. There were a number of entrants into this year's competition, which was judged by attending members of the Chigwell Parish Council Environment Committee. It was decided that Brook Buds Ltd were winners of this year’s competition. Brook Buds Ltd. Is a florist that supplies house flowers, table arrangements, displays, floral decorations and bouquets of various descriptions for one-off events and special occasions, such as board meetings, presentations and banquets. Brook Buds Ltd is conveniently located in Brook Parade, Chigwell. Chairman of the Chigwell Parish Council, Councillor Brian P. Sandler presented the staff of Brook Buds Ltd. with a certificate and a Winner’s Trophy which will be displayed on the premises. Councillor Brian Sandler said; “I really appreciate the efforts of the entrants, and I sincerely hope even more local businesses enter the competition later this year.
