Memorial Safety Inspections – Important Information for Grave Owners and Visitors
Chigwell Parish Council is commencing a programme of Memorial Safety Inspections at Chigwell Cemetery. As the cemetery is open to the public, the Council has a duty to ensure that memorials remain safe and that the cemetery continues to be accessible for all visitors. Exclusive Right of Burial - Important Information for Owners of Cremated Remains Plots
Chigwell Parish Council is currently reviewing and digitising historic cemetery records to ensure our information is accurate, complete and accessible. This is a significant project involving thousands of plots, memorials and dedications. As part of this work, we may identify Exclusive Rights of Burial that have expired or are approaching expiry.
