Thames Water Hosepipe Ban – Information for Residents and Allotment Holders

Thames Water has introduced a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) from 23 July 2026 due to prolonged dry weather, low rainfall, and increased demand for water supplies.

The ban means that hosepipes must not be used for watering gardens or allotments. However, residents and allotment holders may continue to water plants using watering cans, buckets or water stored in water butts.

The Parish Council asks all allotment tenants to use water responsibly and consider water-saving measures wherever possible.
