Submitting nomination papers

Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the address below. Papers can be delivered on any working day after the date of this notice from Monday to Friday between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. This does not include bank holidays. The final time for delivery is 4 p.m. on Friday 10 October 2025.

Nomination papers can be collected from the Civic Offices during the times shown above or downloaded from the Epping Forest District Council website on the candidate information page.

Polling day

If an election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 6 November 2025.

Register to vote

Applications to register must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 21 October 2025.

Register to vote online

Postal and proxy voting

Applications, changes or cancellations for postal voting and changes or cancellations for proxy voting must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Offices by 5 p.m. on Wednesday 22 October 2025.

New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Offices by 5 p.m. on Wednesday 29 October 2025.

Applications to vote by emergency proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Offices by 5 p.m. on Thursday 6 November 2025.

Voter photo identification

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector Document for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 p.m. on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
